Melbourne, 2018

Greetings from the Australia's
Great Ocean Road!

My home in the Whitsundays was a 100+ year old clipper ship.

Since I last posted, I went sailing in the gorgeous Whitsunday Islands, visited with amazing friends in Melbourne, and rented a campervan to explore the Australian coast.

I'll be in Melbourne for Austalia Day and then the next stop is camping in New Zealand if I can survive a few more days driving on the wrong side of the road!

My view on the deck of a live-aboard sailing ship
was only made tolerable by the steady supply of ice cold beers.

Courtside at the Australian Open with
amazingly generous down-under hosts.
Cycling through Melbourne with 'The Cuban Undulators'.

My campervan home for a week along the coast.
After 5 days in the camper running solo,
I can best describe the experience as manly-smelling

The beaches near the 12 apostles were spectacular.
I kept expecting to see the statue of liberty in the sand
like the end of the original Planet of the Apes.

The 12 apostles along the Great Ocean Road between Melbourne and Adelaide.

Every seat in Rod Laver Arena at the Australia Open
tennis tournament is a good one.

Layton Hewitt did not get the
'you have to wear yellow or pink'
memo that everyone else got.
